early to mid 90's rap/hip hop party/club search (I am the only one to have replied so far)
the song I am looking for(and have been for years)has the words "this is it ya or ya'll in the hook. it wasn't camp lo, d.o.c.(i don't remember or find a song by that name by him) or stetsasonic. Although i did hear a stetsasonic song that had those words in it and the voice sounded the same. The beats weren't right. It was a song that was played in the clubs in or around 1990. any thoughts are very appreciated! thank you in a advance, and i will check in lata. :)

maybe the other song that contains "this is it/ or this is it ya/'ll was/is a remix or a sampling. anyone have any ideas? It was a song that was played with dj kool "what the hell you come in her for" at least it was around that same time.

maybe someone should start a forum that lists all of the songs that were popular, or (should have been) from the 90's. I think it would be great if it had an option to listen to them as well as buy. All in one place. There are a lot of other people who are like us and looking for either song titles or artists from that decade. It would be more popular and active in revenue as well than My Space. It shouldn't matter if it's dirty south, east coast, midwest, or west coast. I am still looking for my song "this is it ya". Good luck to everyone else who is looking.
I will be checking back, just in case. Besides there are a lot of good songs on here too, I had forgotten about, or didn't know about!

No clues? Please take a look and give me some suggestions...
the stesasonic track that has this is it ya in it sounds like the voice - but the beats are not the same. I heard it at the partyhous when dj fresh was the local hot dj. i even asked him - he thought it might have been the d.o.c. i have yet to find a song with or without lyrics for that artist. i know it isn't camplo because i have listened to that. it is sooo had and slow when you are on dialup! the song repeated this is it ya over and over. it was a party song.

DJ Kool - What The Hell You Come In Here For? {1989}

I found this artist but the year doesn't match. I would suggest you try to remember an exact date that you're sure the record was out because some people I have answered song questions for have been off by a couple of years even though they were almost positive of the year.

Poizon Posse - This Is It Y'all (1993)

shoot1 that's not it either dan. the sample didn't play the chorus either, but it doesn't sound familiar at all. I am thankful that you tried though... :) the year would have nee 1990 maybe 1991. the partyhouse was where it was played, and that was the year i was there. it was a guy's voice i remember. it was a party/club song. my friend says she remembers it being on the radio.

"this is it ya('ll) it ya it ya this is it ya" - is all i can remember. had horns(?) and a good bounce/bass beat to it. it was one of those people used to do that "skip" dance to here in the midwest. lol! that was a funny dance! you could get kicked or hit the way they would run around the club and battling each other! sighh...

i was 15 at the time no more than 16. let me see my papa died in april 1989 i started going to the clubs after that. i would say early 1990 or maybe summer. i wonder if it sampled the voice from go stetsa 1 or 2 saying this is it ya. i hear there is a 3, but i haven't heard that one. the song was played in a lineup of songs and "what the hell you come in here for" was one.
